‘He’s a little fighter!’: CDS delivered one-eyed kitten to couple a week after moving into pet friendly place even though they were hoping to adopt a dog

Many people wait their whole lives to be chosen by the Cat Distribution System. To have that fateful day come their way when a cat comes up to them, locks eyes and demands to live with them forever more. It is an overwhelming reward for any cat lover. So to see it happen to someone who was actually looking for a dog to bring into their life is at a minimum incredibly confusing and at a maximum rather offensive to the rest of us. But that is what happened merely a week after this couple moved into their first pet friendly apartment.

Cats, much like kids, come to us in many different ways. Some are born to us, some choose us, and some attach themselves to your leg and never let go. But what the CDS and cats pawticularly seem to love is the element of surprise. Often employing discretion and hiding to give the hooman they have targeted a bit of a jump when they come upon them. But in this case the jump was not so much one of physical surprise but of mental as the couple who had been chosen by this pirate cat were actually looking for a dog.

But even with their canine preferences they stopped everything they wer doing and proved themselves to be pawfect pawrents giving round the clock care to the injured kitten and seeing it through some of the toughest days of its tiny life.

Well, you know what they say, if you go looking for a dog but you are secretly a cat person the cat distribution system will send you a one eyed kitten who will be your very best pirate buddy for the rest of your lives. Ok, no one says that but it is rather poetic that with all the time this couple waited to adopt a dog that they would be gifted a cat. It's kinda like a satirical reverse of the door closing window opening situation.

Hey, if you ask us, a messy baby boy is better than a clean one who will not eat no matter what you do. Kittens at this age, and no less Kittens at this age who have experienced some sort of trauma are very touch and go. You never know if they are going to make it to their next meal. So having a kitten who is covered in the food it is regularly consuming is no bad thing at all. If anything it is something to be celebrated. So may this sweetie keep being messy and grow to be a chonky catto.
